nikodem dybiński

Nikodem Dybiński is a musician and music producer based in Kraków, PL. His work revolves around creating and performing instrumental electronic music, primarily using analog synthesizers, cassette tapes, and a felt piano.  


Nikodem's live performances are predominantly improvised, resulting in unique forms and structures influenced by the time, place, and his emotional state. He has released three solo piano albums, each capturing his personal emotional transformations during their creation.  

ARS LATRANS Orchestra  


In 2018, Nikodem co-founded ARS LATRANS Orchestra with Piotr Wykurz. Initially formed for the ARS LATRANS Festival, the ensemble's lineup and themes changed annually, beginning with Miami Vice (2018) and Japonism (2019). By the third edition, themed The Art of Love, a stable lineup emerged. The orchestra released two albums, Sztuka Miłości (2021) and Y2K (2022), and performed extensively at clubs and festivals across Poland, including Męskie Granie, Santander Letnie Brzmienia, FEST Festival, Lekko Festiwal, Edison Festiwal, and Olsztyn Green Festiwal. In 2023, all members except Piotr Wykurz departed, leaving him to continue the project.  

During its peak, the orchestra included members such as runforrest, Odet, Gypsy and the Acid Queen, Bass Astral, Koko Die, Jakub Wojtas, and Piotr Wykurz.

Bestsellery Empiku 2020 


In 2020, Nikodem collaborated with Igor Walaszek, Gypsy and the Acid Queen, Jakub Wojtas and Piotr Wykurz to compose and produce the music for the Empik Bestsellers Gala. The performance featured prominent vocalists, including Katarzyna Nosowska, Sanah, Tomasz Organek, Vito Bambino, Kwiat Jabłoni, Margaret, Daria Zawiałow, and Błażej Król.   

Bass Astral x Igo Ensemble


In 2020, Nikodem served as the musical director and keyboardist for Bass Astral x Igo Ensemble. He co-produced their farewell tour, Last Dance (2021), and performed at major festivals like FEST Festival. He also contributed to their studio album Satellite (2021).   

Kwiat Jabłoni


In 2022, Nikodem collaborated with Kwiat Jabłoni on the album Kwiat Jabłoni i goście: Wolne serca, created to commemorate the anniversary of the Warsaw Uprising. The album featured new renditions of songs about freedom, with vocal contributions from artists like Miuosh, Kasia Lins, Natalia Grosiak, jucho, Natalia Kukulska, Sanah, Kuba Kawalec and Igo. He co-wrote the track Byłominęło later released on Kwiat Jabłoni's subsequent album.

Theatre


Since 2018, Nikodem has composed music, soundscapes, and video elements for theatrical productions across Poland, collaborating with directors such as Radosław Stępień, Tomasz Fryzeł, Stanisław Chludziński, and Patryk Warchoł. He has contributed to over 20 productions.  

Music Videos


Nikodem creates music videos and visual works using VHS cameras and analog video mixers. His portfolio includes projects for ARS LATRANS Orchestra, Koko Die, Mili Jack, Dominika Płonka, Cinemon, Gypsy and the Acid Queen, and Kind Kids.  

Nikodem is passionate about photography, history, culture, design, and geopolitics.  

He holds an engineering degree in mechatronics from AGH University of Science and Technology in Kraków and works in the IT industry.

He is able to build and program functioning printer using LEGO Technics.
